Our Antiques Collection – Pound Ridge, Westchester County, New York

The antiques collection at Antiques & Interiors is the result of over 30 years of proprietor Elinor Deutsch’s adventures and collecting. Popular items include our collection of French, porcelain dishware & teaware. The guiding force behind Elinor’s selection is her imagination – her ability to see how a given piece might complement its surroundings. She will often take pieces to her own home, to gain a better understanding of the interplay between antiques of different eras and places. Many of her objects, such as a Chinese pewter teapot from the 1830s, or a shoeshine box from the 1920s, were once ubiquitous. Today, these objects remind us of an earlier era, and precisely because of their former ubiquity, conjure unique memories for all of us who can remember when they were once common household items.
